Downs Hall

Downs Hall is a 175-unit student housing community with a dining facility on the University of Kansas main campus. The community's four- and five-story buildings offer 548 beds in dormitory-style apartments as well as common area amenities including a lounge, multi-purpose conference rooms, open study areas, laundry facilities, and a courtyard with dining areas. The commercial dining facility is a steel one-story attachment containing multiple kitchens and seats up to 400 students. In combination with Stouffer Place Apartments, Downs Hall is the largest proprietary light-gauge steel system project completed to date and the first public-private partnership constructed with this system.
