The Green at West Village

3,290-Bed, Net-Zero Student Housing Community Across Nine Buildings

The largest student housing community in U.S. history, the redevelopment of The Green at West Village provides 3,290 beds across 1,247 units of apartment-style housing to graduate and transfer students of the University of California at Davis. Located near restaurants, retail, a nursery, and Highway 113, the community consists of nine four-story residential buildings, a 10,000-square-foot community center, and a maintenance center constructed using a proprietary light-gauge steel system atop concrete slabs on grade. The largest net-zero community in North America, the project includes an exterior insulation and finish system for continuous insulation, TPO roofing, high-efficiency split-system HVAC, electric boilers, and net metering from solar panels over the carports.
