UC Davis West Village
22-Acre, 3,311-Bed Student Housing Community Across Nine Residential Buildings
The largest student housing community in U.S. history, the redevelopment of UC Davis West Village provides 3,311 beds across 1,257 units of apartment-style housing to graduate and transfer students of the University of California at Davis. Located near restaurants, retail, a nursery, and Highway 113, the community consists of nine four-story residential buildings, a 10,000-square-foot community center, and a maintenance center constructed using the prefabricated Prescient structural system atop concrete slabs on grade. The largest net-zero community in North America, the project includes an exterior insulation and finish system for continuous insulation, TPO roofing, high-efficiency split-system HVAC, electric boilers, and net metering from solar panels over the carports.
