316-Unit, NGBS Gold Mixed-Use Community in University Town Center

The Six is a 316-apartment, Type IIIA mixed-use luxury community in Hyattsville, MD. The building, which wraps around a five-story, 276-space precast garage, consists of four levels of wood framing atop four levels of concrete, plus an outdoor rooftop pool terrace and amenity area. The Six offers 2,052 SF of retail and its expansive amenity package includes a two-level co-working, fitness, and lounge space. Located in University Town Center, the community is within steps of a variety of shops and restaurants and walkable to the Prince George's Plaza Metro.

Building Green at The Six
Targeting NGBS Gold certification, The Six will offer an expansive bike storage area and workshop, recycling center, and priority parking dedicated to electrical vehicles. The community will also feature EnergyStar® appliances and light fixtures in each unit, low-VOC paint, adhesives, and mastics, and low-flow plumbing fixtures. CBG instituted a construction waste plan of up to 75% diversion from landfills to recycling facilities, prohibits smoking in the building, and protects air ducts from dirt and debris as part of its indoor air quality plan. CBG will also install a pedestrian bike path on the East West Highway to improve the walkability of the University Town Center.
