195-Unit Apartment Building with Four-Level Underground Cast-in-Place Parking

The Galaxy is a 195-unit, five-story wood-framed apartment building in Silver Spring, Maryland. The Galaxy includes 368 parking spaces, 208 which are reserved for residents and 160 for use by Montgomery County, tripling the amount of public parking available to the community. The building features a green roof and solar panels to generate electricity. The project also includes a playground area and an art walk to replace an existing pedestrian alley connecting King Street with 13th Street.
