Brightleaf & Cooper

16 Historically-Restored Luxury LEED® Townhomes

Brightleaf & Cooper combines modern living with historic character in 16 artfully tailored, LEED® certified townhomes in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. CBG converted the City of Alexandria's existing Health Department building into nine townhomes, Brightleaf, and constructed an additional seven townhomes, Cooper, within an existing adjacent parking lot. The Brightleaf & Cooper townhomes embody distinctive identities, with Brightleaf offering contemporary design and Cooper offering Old Town-inspired traditional design. The three- to four-bedroom units offer open floor plans, high ceilings, fireplaces, entertainment and family rooms, private elevators, rooftop terraces, private landscaped yards, finished ateliers, and two-car garages. High-end finishes such as wide plank wood flooring, stone tile and countertops, wood cabinetry, and commercial kitchen appliances elevate quality of living for residents seeking elegance and inspired design. The exterior townhome facades were historically restored using brick and limestone, masonry, siding, synboard, metal panel, and clad wood windows with roofs comprised of EPDM, slate, and composite shingles. Located steps from the best of Old Town Alexandria's shops, restaurants, and local amenities, Brightleaf & Cooper promotes a pedestrian-friendly lifestyle and supports transit-oriented living with convenient access to multiple modes of public transportation.
