77H
303-Unit EGC-Certified Mixed-Use Community with Walmart and Parking
77H is a 303-unit apartment community composed of four wood-framed stories above a two-story podium. The mixed-use project includes ground-floor retail, rooftop mezzanine space, and is anchored by DC's first urban-format Walmart. Located just a few blocks from the U.S. Capitol, the project connects with the existing retail of H Street and Chinatown. 77H's four residential stories incorporate three amenity areas: a fitness center, two internal courtyards, and a dramatic rooftop pool and lounge.

Green Features
Overcame several challenges such as the discovery of a pre-existing school that had been demolished and left underground on-site.
Took into account community neighbors, which include Gonzaga College High School, the US Government Printing Office, an apartment complex, and a nursing home, to complete the project in a safe, timely, and quality manner.
Seamlessly introduced the development to the neighborhood by mimicking the façade—comprising seven different materials—and brick detailing that is omnipresent in surrounding buildings such as the Government Printing Office across the street.
Transformed a gravel parking lot into an attractive mixed-use development.
