Quantico Family Housing
1,134 Military Homes for the Marine Corps
CBG played a central role in revitalizing housing at Marine Corps Base Quantico by demolishing 1,270 outdated residences, constructing approximately 990 new single-family homes and townhomes, and renovating 144 historically significant apartments. As part of the project’s adaptive reuse, CBG transformed 114 historically significant brick two-bedroom apartments into three- and four-bedroom walk-up townhomes with ample living space and updated amenities. The 990 new homes, designed in colonial and federal-revival styles, offer nine-foot ceilings, Corian countertops, EnergyStar appliances, and, in most cases, two-car garages. The public-private partnership also included the construction of pedestrian walkways, community centers, and children’s play areas to meet the diverse needs of military personnel and their families.
