The two-day event, which was held in collaboration with The Clark Construction Group, took place at the Mt. Woodson Golf Club. Proceeds from the tournament were presented to Operation Homefront, the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (IMSFF), and the Pacific Beacon Education Fund at an awards reception following the tournament.

"With the help of many generous sponsors, we are able to give back to the military men and women who dedicate their lives to keeping us safe," said Jim Forburger, senior vice president of Clark Realty Builders. "Our goal is to improve lives for the families of those who sacrifice so much for this country. It is our hope that these donations will continue our work toward this goal."

This is the second year for Clark's San Diego tournament. Approximately 220 golfers participated in this year's event, including representatives from Clark and their valued San Diego partners. Sponsors included A.O. Reed; All Advantage Electric; All States Drywall; AMG Demolition; AON Risk Services; Atlas Mechanical; Basile Construction; Ben F. Smith; Berg Electric; Berry Bros & Sons; California Flex; California Sheetmetal; Consolidated Concepts; Eagle Roofing; Fairco Developer Landscape Services; Fard Engineers; Fishel Company; Granite Construction; Hanson Aggregates; Just-Star Construction; KHS&S; Krogman Construction; Land America; Martin Corporation; Moodys Lunch Service; Morley Construction; Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg; Pacific Coast Steel; Paradise Electric; Perry & Shaw; Pillsbury Winthrop; Pinnacle; RBE; Rick Engineering; Rossi Concrete; RSG Supply; Rutledge Haro Design; S2N Technology Group; San Diego Erosion Control; SDSU Athletics; SI Group; Sign Age Identity Systems; SSW Mechanical; Torti Gallas; Walter N. Coffman; and Woodbridge Glass.

"We are overwhelmed by the hard work of the Clark team and generosity of those participating in this wonderful event," said Beth Steinke, Operation Homefront chapter president.

"The military families of San Diego have ever-growing needs, and this support positions us to be able to meet those needs head on." Added Karen Guenter, founder and executive director of IMSFF, "The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund is honored that Clark Realty has chosen us to benefit from their golf tournament. In the past 2 1/2 years, IMSFF has provided more than $6 million in assistance to injured Marines, sailors, and their families. It is only because of the generosity of individual Americans and corporations like Clark Realty that we are able to sustain our mission of 'serving those who preserve our freedom.' We cannot thank them enough."

Clark has developed and built more than 2,900 Navy homes in the San Diego area, drastically improving lives of the region's sailors and their families. Clark's most recent project, Gateway Village, underscores the success of the military privatization program, having received numerous accolades at the both the local and national levels, including the 2006 Military Project of the Year Award by Multifamily Executive magazine, the 2006 Recycler of the Year from the City of San Diego for Innovative Recycling and Re-Use of Construction Materials, and the 2005 Project of the Year for Outstanding Design by the Point Loma Association.

Clark is currently working on development of Pacific Beacon, the country's first large-scale, public-private initiative for single sailor housing. This striking addition to the San Diego skyline will not only serve as an economic catalyst for the entire region, but will also improve lives of area sailors, many of whom are forced to live on ships due to lack of affordable housing.

None of the funds dedicated to the San Diego Navy housing projects were used for this event. The annual charity golf tournament is neither endorsed nor sponsored by the Department of Defense or the Department of the Navy.
