CRC CARES presented a donation to America's Mighty Warriors in honor of Veterans Day. Marc Alan Lee was the first Navy SEAL to lose his life in Operation Iraqi Freedom. In honor of her son, Debbie Lee founded America's Mighty Warriors which provides programs that improve quality of life, resiliency, and recovery to the fallen and their families. The organization works to ensure that our troops and Gold Star families have access to the support that they deserve after injury or loss.

"We are so grateful for the amazing contribution. It is patriots like you and your sponsors who allow us to fulfill our mission to honor and support our troops and families of the fallen," said Debbie Lee, founder of America's Mighty Warriors. "Just yesterday I was helping five Veterans who were struggling with PTS/TBI and have lost hope and were ready to give up on life. Your donation will impact and save their lives."

CRC CARES also presented a donation to Here with HOPE Foundation, an all-volunteer organization that offers guidance and support to families of children fighting cancer by striving to create a community of assistance and lending support through financial, community, and emotional help.

"Thank you, CRC CARES, for your generous contribution," said Lindsey McMorran, co-founder and CEO of the Here with HOPE Foundation. "When a child is diagnosed with cancer, it is so important for the family to remain together and not worry about their bills. The funds received will help us assist more families with paying their mortgage, utilities, medical, and travel expenses."

Donations were also presented to the Veterans Village of San Diego, a nationally-recognized nonprofit that provides a full range of comprehensive and innovative services to more than 2,000 military veterans, and the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Rady Children's Hospital, a leader in clinical research that provides outstanding specialized cancer treatment and hematology services.

Through the tremendous generosity of subcontractors and consultants, CRC CARES has raised over $3.6 million to date in San Diego alone. More than 120 charities throughout the southern California region have benefited from the tournament funds since the inaugural event in 2005.

"This is a banner year for CRC CARES with the highest amount raised to date from a single fundraising event," said Jim Forburger, senior vice president of CBG. "The support we receive from our industry partners is truly remarkable."

Proceeds from this year's event were made possible by 80 corporate sponsors, many of whom participate annually. On both evenings of the event, the tournament included a dinner and awards reception at the Del Lago Ballroom of Maderas Golf Club. Reception highlights included a raffle, the announcement of tournament winners, and a formal donation presentation to the charitable recipients.
