Clark Realty Builders Celebrates Early Opening for Springfield Crossing

Springfield, Va. — Clark Realty Builders*, Bethesda, Md., recently celebrated the grand opening of Springfield Crossing Apartments seven months ahead of the contractual completion date. The May 22 grand opening ceremonies were attended by representatives from the Virginia Housing Development Authority, several local banks, and local government officials. Residents have occupied the $43.3 million multifamily development since March.

Springfield Crossing's 347 units are divided between one eight-story, 107-unit building and seven other garden-style apartment buildings housing an additional 240 units. Developed by KSI Services, Vienna, Va., and designed by Niles Bolton Associates, Alexandria, Va., Springfield Crossing offers residents a variety of amenities. For outdoor recreation, there's a swimming pool, hot tub, kiddie pool, multi-purpose court, tot lot and meditation garden. Inside the clubhouse, residents will enjoy a business center, fitness center, community room, and library.

The Springfield Crossing site was formally a pre-cast concrete production facility. In a joint effort to minimize waste, KSI Services and Clark Realty Builders recycled the quality construction materials that remained on site and used the recycled material in building and roadbed foundations. Located near the intersection of Interstate 95 and Fairfax County Parkway, Springfield Crossing is adjacent to the Springfield Metro Station on the Blue Line and less than a mile from the shops of Springfield Mall.
