CBG Signs Second Phase of Luxury Apartment Project with Kettler
ARLINGTON, Va."CBG Building Company signed a contract with Kettler and the Howard Hughes Corporation today for Phase 2 of the downtown Columbia redevelopment. Following the Phase 1 completion of The Metropolitan Downtown Columbia in June 2015, the project's second phase will include 437 luxury apartments and more than 28,000 square feet of ground floor retail and restaurant space.

"Downtown Columbia has been undergoing an amazing transformation," said Robert C. Kettler, Kettler Chairman and CEO. "Together with The Metropolitan, mall expansion, and the arrival of Whole Foods, Phase 2 will continue the evolution of Downtown Columbia into one of the most sought-after residential addresses in the Baltimore-Washington region."
Phase 2 will provide a variety of floorplans, including studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, many of which include dens. All units will feature high-end finishes such as quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. The amenity-rich community will boast a state-of-the-art fitness center and indoor sports court, lush courtyards with pools, a pet wash station, and indoor and outdoor lounge areas.

Targeting LEED Silver certification, Phase 2 will feature energy-saving appliances, bicycle parking spaces, car charging stations, environmentally friendly building materials, and a green roof.
