CBG Signs On for a Third Ballston Project
ARLINGTON, Va.—CBG Building Company began work today with repeat client Jefferson Apartment Group on the design-build project of 4000 North Fairfax, a 22-story luxury apartment tower with 326 residential units and more than 9,000 square feet of retail. This will be CBG's second project with Jefferson Apartment Group, following the successful completion of Jefferson Square, a 304-unit mixed-use community in downtown Baltimore, Maryland.

4000 North Fairfax is targeting LEED Gold certification. The luxury community will integrate sustainable design aspects into units and the building such as EnergyStar appliances, continuous exterior wall rigid insulation, a green roof, and variable refrigerant flow HVAC technology. The transit-oriented community is within walking distance of many restaurants, retail stores, and business hubs along the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor, as well as both Ballston and Virginia Square Metro stations and several bus lines.

4000 North Fairfax will feature robust amenities including an open-air plaza with central fountain, pet spa, rooftop terrace, club room, bike storage room, and 24-hour concierge service. On the rooftop, residents will enjoy a pool, fitness center, outdoor grill area, fire pit, giant chess set, and lounge areas with hammocks.
In addition to 4000 North Fairfax, CBG's projects in the Ballston neighborhood include The Maxwell, a six-story, 163-unit apartment community finished in May, and 672 Flats, a five-story, 173-unit apartment building on track for a June 2018 completion. 4000 North Fairfax is scheduled for final delivery in July 2020.
