CBG Reaches Milestone at Pennsylvania Community
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.—CBG Building Company finished the garage today at The Smith today for repeat client Woodfield Investments, and is scheduled to begin framing the project's West Building next week. The 320-unit community will comprise five residential segments in the King of Prussia Town Center, which offers outdoor shopping, dining, entertainment, and living options.
"We've done a number projects with CBG that have all completed on schedule and budget," said Rick Rowland, development partner at Woodfield Investments. "The Smith is shaping up to be the latest in that track record."
CBG employed strategic timing of construction activities to meet the West Building's framing milestone - first completing segments that required concrete construction, then erecting the garage. By avoiding overlap in construction activities within the same building segment, CBG gained considerable time in the schedule and ensured the West Building framing was set to begin on time.
"This multi-segment community brings with it a level of complexity that we managed using careful sequencing," said Keith Anderson, president of CBG. "We look forward to adding another residential option for members of the King of Prussia community, and in particular to be a part of the King of Prussia Town Center."
When complete, The Smith will feature studio through three-bedroom units with luxury finishes and high-end amenities such as business and fitness centers, a pool, coffee bar, and outdoor courtyards.
In addition to The Smith, CBG has partnered on five other communities with Woodfield Investments, including Residences at Siesta Key, a 315-unit mixed-use community in Rockville, MD; Station on Silver, a 400-unit residential community in Herndon, VA; and Azure Oxford Square, a 248-unit residential community in Hanover, MD.
