The Marriott AC is a 234-room high-rise hotel with sophisticated amenity and rooftop spaces at the intersection of 6th and K Streets in downtown DC. The project involves the careful removal and relocation of a historic gas station on site. The hotel's exterior will be constructed with extensive glass as a stylistic focal point. Inside, the building will feature high-end finishing such as millwork in amenity areas, a detailed lobby light fixture, and high-end fixtures and finishes in the guest rooms. The project features 15,000 square feet of restaurant, bar, and lounge space.
The Marriott AC is designed to be LEED® certified and, in addition to employing sustainable construction techniques, will include multiple green roofs and ample bike storage. Located in downtown Washington, DC, the hotel's proximity to the Metro as well as shopping, dining, and night-life attractions encourages sustainable transportation.
