Construction of Luxury Apartment Community Reaches Substantial Completion

CBG Building Company Turns Over Units and Amenities at Highgate in Tysons

TYSONS, Va.—CBG Building Company substantially completed construction today at Highgate at the Mile, a six-story luxury apartment community in Tysons. The mixed-use community offers residents and Tysons Corner Center shoppers 2,500 square feet of street-level retail, including retail tenant Republik Coffee Bar, and a public park featuring a play area, lawn, and dog park.

CBG will complete Highgate in October of this year, two and a half months ahead of the original contract date. CBG has turned over 275 of the 395 units, as well as amenity spaces on the first and second floor, including the pool deck and common area.

"We worked in preconstruction for two years with the Kettler team so this turnover is the culmination of a lot of hard work by a large group of people. It is very rewarding to see the project come together and what it has become."

Committed to sustainability, Highgate is targeting LEED Silver certification. The community features low-flow water fixtures, water-efficient landscaping, use of regional and recycled materials, high-efficiency mechanical systems, green roofs, cisterns for irrigation, and sustainable materials benefiting indoor environmental air quality.

The transit-oriented community is located on Jones Branch Road in the heart of Tysons Corner, giving residents easy access to groceries, shops, and restaurants, and is walking distance to the Tysons Corner Metro station.
