Clark Realty Builders Honored with Three Finest for Family Living Awards

BETHESDA, Md. — Clark Realty Builders was recently honored with three 2001 Finest for Family Living Awards sponsored by the Building Industry Associations serving Northern Virginia, Suburban Maryland, and the District of Columbia. The 44th annual awards ceremony was held in the George Mason University Center for the Performing Arts to recognize Washington area architects, builders, and marketing specialists in eighteen categories. Winners were selected for achieving excellence in such areas as overall design, innovative use of space, and comparative value within the market segment.

Recognized at the awards this year were three multifamily apartment projects constructed by Clark Realty Builders.

Centergate King Farm Phase II in Rockville, Md., was the overall winner in the "Site Land Planning: Under 15 Acres" category. The land planner was Torti Gallas & Partners - CHK, Inc. The 400-unit community consists of townhouses with integral garages and garden-style apartments with a central four-story parking garage, allowing residents to park on their living levels. The owner is Pritzker Residential. Kenton Crossing at Lorton Station in Lorton, Va., was the overall winner in "Special Achievements in Affordable Housing - Rentals" for its Belmont Greene model. The architectural firm was LeMay Erikson. The 248-unit community was developed in two phases and provides high-quality housing for residents meeting income qualifications. The owner is Armistead, LP.

Centergate Russett in Laurel, Md., won an Award of Merit in the "Rental Units - Townhouse" category for its Charleston model. The architectural firm was Torti Gallas & Partners - CHK, Inc. The 238-unit community features a combination of three-level rental townhomes and garden-style apartments in four-story buildings. The owner is Pritzker Residential.
