Clark CARES Foundation Sponsors Golf Tournament in San Diego
SAN DIEGO — Clark Realty, in partnership with Clark Construction, hosted the Clark CARES Open at the exclusive Maderas Golf Club on October 18 and 19. The two-day event, which attracted over 220 golfers and corporate sponsors nationwide, raised nearly $300,000 in contributions for the Clark CARES Foundation, a newly created public charity that provides grants to deserving non-profit organizations.

"We are so grateful to the Clark CARES Foundation, and to all of the companies who supported this fundraising effort," said Pamela Thorsch, executive director of Rebuilding Together San Diego.
This year's beneficiaries include the ACE Mentor Program, the Armed Services YMCA, Heroes to Hometowns, Rady Children's Hospital, Rebuilding Together, and the YWCA of San Diego County. In addition, the Century Club received a grant to sponsor their annual Military Appreciation Luncheon.
"The tremendous support we receive from our partners is outstanding year after year," said Jim Forburger, senior vice president of Clark Realty Builders, LP. "Their continuous generosity is much appreciated."
Since the tournament's inception in 2005, this event, previously known as the Clark Companies San Diego Charity Golf Tournament, has raised over $650,000 for local charitable organizations. Past recipients of the tournament include The Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, Operation Homefront San Diego, and the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, as well as the Pacific Beacon Education Fund.
