CBG to Build Three New Atlanta Communities
ATLANTA—CBG Building Company has been signed to build three new apartment communities in Decatur and Atlanta, Georgia. The projects, all scheduled to complete in 2022, will deliver a combined 836 apartments. CBG is proud to be building 680 Hamilton, Toll Decatur, and 505 Courtland with clients TPA Residential, Toll Brothers Apartment Living, and Woodfield Development, respectively.
505 Courtland
680 Hamilton consists of 262 units across five mid-rise residential buildings, two precast slip-deck parking structures, and more than 7,500 square feet of retail. The Atlanta, Georgia community is designed by Niles Bolton Associates. Previously contaminated with 100,000 cubic yards of lime, 680 Hamilton’s brownfield site requires extensive work to prepare for construction; the project received grants as part of Atlanta’s brownfield program to contribute to the large-scale urban revitalization that will transform the area into a sustainable mixed-use destination along Atlanta’s BeltLine. 680 Hamilton is CBG’s first project with TPA residential.
Located in nearby Decatur, Georgia, Toll Decatur is a 290-unit luxury apartment community comprising three wrap buildings. Toll Decatur is designed by Dwell Design Studio and will feature high-end finishes and amenities including an internal courtyard with a pool, fitness center, club room, and a dog park. The project is targeting National Green Building Standard Silver certification and is part of a master development that includes a Publix shopping center and retail. Toll Decatur is walking distance from the Avondale MARTA station and only one mile east of Decatur's town center. Toll Decatur is CBG’s fourth project with Toll Brothers.

Also designed by Dwell Design Studio, 505 Courtland is a 17-story high-rise with 284 units in the SoNo district of downtown Atlanta. The project features a community room with interior and exterior bleachers, a pet spa, a fitness center with yoga studio, an aqua lounge, and a sky lounge with deck. 505 Courtland will be CBG’s 10th project with Woodfield Development and the first with Woodfield in the Southeast region. Drawing upon its expertise at nearby Generation Atlanta, CBG will construct 505 Courtland using Prescient, a prefabricated structural system of USA-made, recycled-content steel that produces less than one percent waste.
