277-Unit Multifamily Community Completed as Part of 44-Acre Mixed-Use Development

TAMPA, Fla.—Today, CBG Building Company announced the successful turnover of NOVEL Independence Park, a 277-unit, resort-style multifamily community delivered in partnership with Crescent Communities and Dwell Design Studio. Located in Tampa’s Westshore District, NOVEL’s three five-story buildings are part of the larger 44-acre Independence Park mixed-use development, which has been rezoned to support future office, retail, and townhome uses.

NOVEL Independence Park features studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, as well as luxury amenities including a resort-style pool, coworking spaces, outdoor pickleball courts, an expansive fitness center, and a dog park. The community is NGBS® Silver certified and incorporates sustainable features, including Grade I insulation and third-party energy verification, while meeting all Florida Department of Environmental Protection brownfield redevelopment requirements.

Despite external challenges such as Hurricanes Helene and Milton, which neared the Tampa Bay area late in the project schedule, CBG delivered NOVEL Independence Park on schedule within its 27-month timeline, supported by more than 200,000 labor hours and 42 subcontractors.

The completion of NOVEL Independence Park further expands CBG’s national portfolio of more than 200,000 multifamily units. Other recently completed Tampa-area projects include MAA Breakwater, a 495-unit luxury waterfront community; The Galvin, a 305-unit mixed-use community; and The Watson, a 205-unit luxury garden-style community.
