CBG Completes Senior Living Community in Fairfax
FAIRFAX, Va.—CBG Building Company completed construction on schedule Tuesday for Brightview Woodburn, a 94-unit senior living apartment community located adjacent to Interstate 495 in Fairfax County. The LEED Silver community marks CBG's first Brightview Senior Living project. Brightview Woodburn offers a boutique, resort-style living experience for seniors who desire a worry-free lifestyle without the burden of home ownership and maintenance.

The four-story, 74,000-square-foot community includes 70 apartment homes of various sizes plus a specialized 30-home neighborhood for residents living with dementia. Brightview residents can choose from a variety of floorplans and layouts; benefit from a full complement of services, including up to five hours of personal care included in the monthly service fee; and take advantage of on-site amenities that include a library, salon, pub, gym, dining room, and manicured gardens, lawns, and walking paths.
"Brightview Woodburn is going to be a wonderful community," said project manager Kristian Spannhake. "CBG has delivered a beautiful community. We believe it is going to be a Fairfax County landmark."
Woodburn is designed to achieve LEED Silver certification and incorporates numerous environmentally minded elements into its construction, such as the use of regional materials, an energy-efficient building mechanical system, and a stormwater runoff management system.

CBG is currently constructing a second job for Brightview Senior Living, Brightview West End, in Rockville, Maryland. The 195-unit senior living community will feature gathering and amenity spaces including a retail coffee shop and salon.
