Belmont Heights Estates in Tampa Available this Summer

TAMPA, Fla. — Clark Realty Builders is currently building Belmont Heights Estates, a $14 million multifamily development in east Tampa. The first of the new apartments will be available for lease this summer. The Tampa Housing Authority selected the team lead by New Jersey firm Michaels Development Co. to develop the new apartment community, which is being funded in part by a federal grant under the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Hope VI Program. Clark Realty Builders is the general contractor, and Torti Gallas and Partners is the architectural firm.

The Belmont Heights community is being constructed in two phases. The current phase, scheduled for completion by the end of the year, includes a 201-unit mixed income community consisting of market-rate, tax-credit, and public housing units. Floor plans for the 84 one- and two-story buildings include one-, two-, three, and four-bedroom units, which range in size from 945 to 1,600 square feet. Residents will enjoy built-in computer desks, gas-fired hot water heaters, and electric appliances. Community amenities include a clubhouse with a swimming pool and tot lot. This phase also includes the addition of new landscaping and the protection of mature trees growing on the site.

The next phase of construction for the new Belmont Heights neighborhood will add 358 units and two community centers. Construction is scheduled to begin this summer.

Belmont Heights Estates is located north of Ybor City, several miles from the intersection of interstates 4 and 275. The 28-acre site was once home to the Ponce De Leon Courts and College Hill neighborhoods.
