The Varsity at University of Baltimore is an 11-story, 114-unit student housing project in downtown Baltimore at the corner of West Biddle Street and Maryland Avenue. The Varsity boasts 323 bedrooms in studios, 2-bedroom, or 4-bedroom pod-style apartments. These apartments, which feature granite countertops, engineered hardwood floors, and private bathrooms, span 10 stories atop a first floor with amenities tailored to students’ needs. The Varsity is a mildly reinforced concrete structure, with a brick and architectural precast concrete façade.
Building Green at Varsity at University of Baltimore
The Varsity at University of Baltimore is the first CBG project to meet Baltimore City Green Build Standards, a code for sustainable construction that was adopted by the city in March of 2011. Specifically, the project features Energy Star® rated Air Handling Units and a green roof.
