This 292-unit luxury community is located directly across from the Clarendon Metro Station, just off Wilson Boulevard. At the south end of the site, a 151-unit, 12-story tower straddles 12th Street, featuring a three-story archway over the road. This tower intersects a 4-story, 142-unit apartment building designed to resemble a block of upscale townhomes. Three levels of underground parking services both buildings. The residential community now offers many upscale amenities for both work and play, including a courtyard pool with sundeck, a business center, a 24-hour fitness center, and concierge services. In addition, each apartment unit is pre-wired for high-speed internet access.
The project team worked with architect Torti Gallas and Partners to sustain the neighborhood’s original flow by incorporating a giant arched passageway into the building so that the existing street could remain intact. Although a high-rise structure, the building was designed with low-rise structures along two sides to better blend into the neighborhood. In addition, The Clarendon features EnergyStar® appliances and its proximity to the Clarendon Metro Station promotes public transportation.
