Building Green at Monterey Bay Military Housing
Monterey Bay Military Housing incorporates a number of sustainability measures, including EnergyStar® appliances in all units, a water-saving plumbing system, and drought-resistant plants. The project team also diverted more than 75 percent of construction waste from entering landfills, reused a large portion of the site’s existing infrastructure, captured all stormwater on site, and designed irrigation to incorporate reclaimed water. In addition, the community center at the Ord Military Community achieved LEED® Silver certification.
