Edgemont II is a 15-story, 154-unit apartment community located in downtown Bethesda within walking distance of the Bethesda Metro station. The concrete high-rise sits on a tight site surrounded by occupied buildings, requiring well-coordinated material storage and deliveries. CBG linked Edgemont II with its neighboring apartment building through an above-grade connection and within the below-grade garage. The project features one-, two-, and three-bedroom units with high-end finishes and amenities such as a fitness center with exercise studio, penthouse dining room, and rooftop lounge and terrace.
Targeting LEED® Gold, Egdemont II is dedicated to sustainability both during and after construction. The project uses a VRF system, cogeneration unit, and a central hot water system to be more energy efficient than typical multifamily systems. In addition to using locally sourced materials whenever possible, CBG is diverting 75 percent of construction waste from landfills to recycling centers.
