This 208-unit apartment complex features upgraded appliances and spacious floor plans. The 5,500 square foot clubhouse has a state-of-the-art fitness center and resort-style swimming pool. Building plans integrate with landscape design to allow for a full range of outdoor amenities, such as a picnic area, a multi-level interactive playground for all ages, and a tree-lined two-mile walking trail.
At Belmont Station, a 208-unit apartment community and clubhouse, the project team removed derelict salvage and reclaimed a waste soils dump site. The team also incorporated a wetlands buffer for a non-tidal 100-year flood plain. In order to re-grade and contour the land, which sits along a tributary of the Patapsco River that empties into the Chesapeake Bay, the project team used select species of grain to both stabilize the buffer and allow for revegetation of the natural wetland. In addition, to prevent undo hardship and impact on the natural aquatic species, the team restricted work on and in the stream bed to a specific two-week period. Green materials used on the project include low-VOC paints, GE energy-efficient appliances, recycled wood cabinetry, and stone from a local source.
