Located in the heart of DC’s Northeast H Street corridor, 501 H Street is a six-story mixed-use project with three levels of retail and 28 residential units above. The metal-framed building sits on a concrete podium floor and features 22,165 square feet of retail. The transit-oriented community earned LEED® Gold and is located along the DC streetcar route just a half-mile from Union Station.
Certified LEED® Gold, 501 H Street features numerous sustainable elements including a green roof, electric vehicle charging stations, bicycle racks, and designated parking spaces for low-emitting and fuel-efficient vehicles. Building components feature low-emitting, regional, and recycled materials with landscaping to incorporate bio-retention facilities that contain native vegetation. During construction, the project team used a streamlined waste management plan and EcoSpan, a composite floor joist system that incorporates recycling. The transit-oriented community is located along the DC streetcar route and within walking distance of Union Station.
